Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Draper, Utah. This position will last approximately 2-3 months and involves advanced accounting responsibilities, including administration of the point-of-sale system. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic, multi-location business environment. This role requires 100% on-site presence.

Responsibilities:

Complete month-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining an accurate general ledger.

Generate and review financial reports to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and accuracy for management purposes.

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring vendor and customer accounts are properly reconciled.

Manage and reconcile inventory accounting to maintain accurate records.

Ensure adherence to internal controls and provide support for audits or review requests as needed.

Administer the point-of-sale system, including configuring user access, permissions, and system settings.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve point-of-sale software issues, collaborating with IT support or vendors when necessary.

Maintain seamless integration of point-of-sale data into the accounting systems to ensure data integrity across multiple locations.

Safeguard the accuracy of sales and revenue data across all business operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in multi-location businesses.

Experience in managing or troubleshooting point-of-sale systems is preferred.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.

Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
