We are searching for the best talent for a Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineer - Advanced Therapies Supply Chain MS&T that will be based in Raritan, NJ.
Purpose:
The Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineer - Advanced Therapies Supply Chain MS&T is the people manager and team lead for site implementations of CAR-T process projects being transferred into the Raritan manufacturing site. As an expert on cell and gene therapy processes, they will bring specialist knowledge on the processes and process technologies to best lead a team of experienced engineers. They will also oversee processes and standards to both maintain and improve existing and newly implemented innovative manufacturing technologies. Additionally, they will oversee and assist in technical transfer activities into and out of the Raritan facility. This position actively collaborates with management of Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and MSAT functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
· Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development
· Effectively delegate tasks and provide clear direction to ensure smooth and efficient project execution
· Promote a culture of scientific excellence and innovation within the team
Technical Leadership:
· Lead and oversee all aspects of project implementation for technical site projects focused on process changes and process improvements. This can include global projects as well as local projects.
· Participate in and oversee the team in management of the following activities: change control management, business case development, protocol and report generation and approval, raw material and consumable evaluation, new equipment evaluation, process risk assessment creation.
· Support and identify opportunities for process improvements, support improvement projects, and drive implementation strategy. Ensure seamless flow of knowledge and information across functions, and with other sites when applicable.
· Own the process knowledge of the cell and gene therapy manufacturing process technology to support technical activities for technical transfers into and out of the Raritan facility.
· Engage in Gemba walks to identify and record opportunities for process improvement and enhanced process consistency.
Collaboration & Communication:
· Collaborate effectively with local and global stakeholders, including project teams, site and global Leadership teams, ensuring seamless integration and communication of project updates, new project intake, and scientific findings.
· Represent the Site MSAT group at internal and external meetings, effectively communicating scientific data and insights.
Qualifications:
University/Bachelors Degree in Science/Engineering or Equivalent with 8-10 years of Biotech / Pharmaceutical experience or equivalent industry experience.
Hands-on experience and knowledge in manufacturing sciences and operations support, technology transfer, change management, cGMP compliance, and product regulatory and validation requirements are required.
Cell and gene therapy process experience is required.
Project management experience is required.
Proven track record of leading and mentoring professionals is preferred.
An ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure alignment between technical and business objectives.
Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to lead as a change agent to promote flexibility, creativity, and accountability
An ability to build strong partnerships with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, global MS&T and development organizations.
Proven ability to lead and inspire others, creating a positive and productive work environment
Able to accommodate unplanned overtime on little to no prior notice.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$120,000 to $207,000
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
