Cost Accountant - Direct Hire in South York County

$80-$110K starting salary range

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Onsite

The Cost Accountant manages all manufacturing-related financial data for the U.S. plant. This role supports Finance and Operations by analyzing margins, overhead, variances, inventory, and related liabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and report on manufacturing variances, scrap, product returns, and margins. Review and improve standard and job costing models. Conduct cost and profitability analyses; identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure accurate inventory and costing in the ERP system. Support period-end closings, journal entries, and inventory reconciliations. Lead cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Coordinate with IT and other departments on data and system improvements. Assist with audits, tax schedules, and financial reporting. Drive process improvements and maintain strong internal partnerships. Perform other tasks and special projects as needed.

Job Specifications:

BS degree in Accounting

CPA and/or CMA certification required.

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in manufacturing as well as public accounting experience.

Exposure to a lean manufacturing environment is preferred.

Experience working with Oracle EBS ERP systems is preferred or SAP accepted.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical ability required.
