A Brief Overview
The Senior Analyst, Data Scientist works with business stakeholders to answer complex questions and make business predictions by performing complex data and statistical techniques. The Senior Analyst will perform predictive and prescriptive analytics, create complex models, automate processes, and leverage existing and new tools to optimize and analyze data. This position requires advanced skills in statistics, object-oriented programming, machine learning and data automation processes.
What you will do
Perform data and complex statistical analysis to guide interest rate risk analysis, relevant business decisions, and corresponding strategies
Create complex models and lead validation of existing models
Lead the development of machine learning and automation processes
Gather, clean, and process raw data
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify interest rate risk strategies and test effectiveness
Create and validate various reports, dashboards, models and visualizations
Analyze and interpret data for trends and patterns, and make recommendations to business area
Prepare and present various reports, presentations and other deliverables to management and senior leadership
Mentor and trains junior data employees
Lead data quality assurance programs and keeps up to date on regulation changes
Lead regular audits of data, reports, models and other measures to ensure integrity and compliance
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy
Preferred Requirements
Advanced degree or 5-years of direct working experience in advanced financial modeling
Understanding of financial derivatives and commercial interest rate risk concepts
Minimum Requirements
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 7 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of statistics and predictive modeling
Advanced skills in problem solving and analytical thinking
Advanced skills in MySQL, Python, SAS, Spark, BigBML R, Java, and other commonly used data scientist tools
Advanced object-oriented programming skills
Advanced knowledge of machine learning, algorithms and data automation
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to prioritize work
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical users
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
Must be able to exchange accurate information

Salary Range
$104,832.00 To $139,932.00
