What's a typical day as a Maintenance Technician? You'll be:
The Building Maintenance Technician maintains laboratories and offices in a cGMP manufacturing facility. Provides support to site improvement, and special projects. Ensures facility activities adhere to quality systems standards. Keeps the facility in a state of inspection readiness at all times. Interacts with building occupants to resolve calls for hot/cold, plumbing, leak, noise, odor, fire system issues, and much more
Keeps all facilities equipment and utilities in compliance with regulatory standards and in good working order
Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, BMS system, fire/life safety, and other systems
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems
Maintain, operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, and building repairs
Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations
Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components and performs basic troubleshooting using hand & power tools, test equipment, mathematics, operating manuals, specifications, prints, and verbal and/or written instructions
Applies knowledge of cGMPs on a daily basis
Maintain detailed and accurate reports
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and employees
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
High School diploma or equivalent
2-4 years of related experience, with 2-3 years working in a cGMP environment
Strong mechanical aptitude
Understanding of quality systems and change order requirements in a validated facility is required
Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to follow spoken and written instruction in English
