Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.

Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts, including general ledger and bank reconciliations.

Prepare and record journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial data.

Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for automation and improve accounting workflows.

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.

Assist in enhancing accounting systems for improved efficiency and data accuracy.

Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

Generate comprehensive reports to support decision-making and financial planning.

Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

The ideal Senior Accountant will have the following:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, including month-end and year-end close processes.

Strong understanding of general ledger management and account reconciliation.

Proficiency in preparing and recording journal entries.

Experience with bank reconciliations and other financial analysis tasks.

Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle or similar platforms.

Ability to identify and implement process improvements and automation.

Knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial documentation.
