Job Title: Warehouse Porter

Job Description

This position supports the warehouse operations by being responsible for custodial duties and light building maintenance. Daily tasks include pulling and cleaning bins, scrubbing floors with a sit-down floor scrubber, sweeping, mopping, cleaning, and changing light bulbs.

Responsibilities

Clean bins and wire racking.

Take damaged bins and clean them.

Sweep and mop the floors.

Clean the break room.

Operate floor cleaner, including cleaning the tank and replacing cleaning solution.

Perform light building maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.

Essential Skills

1+ years experience operating a floor scrubber.

1+ years experience in custodial work.

Experience or willingness to perform building maintenance work.

Experience with pallet jack or forklift.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a warehouse environment with forklifts and bay doors for drivers and customers to access. Interaction with customers and handling disputes is necessary. While the environment is temperature-controlled, it can become warm when doors are open. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 3 pm to 11:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of JESSUP, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
