We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Utilizes overhead crane to maneuver material and stage for the next operation.RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow job orders to specificationsCut steel material utilizing a variety of industrial sawsMeasure and lay out according to the blueprint, utilizing drill presses and automated drilling machinesResponsible for machine set-ups, operations, and maintenance to meet production demandsResponsible for inspection and documentation of work to meet specificationsAssist in the loading and unloading of raw materials of various weights and lengthsProper use of forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and fall arrest systemsAll other duties as assigned by managementREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent required1 year of experience preferredMust be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hireComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programsAbility to participate in minor data entryAbility to read a tape measureAbility to read a blueprintAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterityMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervisionWORK ENVIRONMENT:ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace RequirementsAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel, or crouch (5%), as required.Able to climb portable laddersAble to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.Able to wear hearing protectors (earplugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.Gorbel is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
