Job Title: Bioprocess Operator
Job Description
As a Bioprocess Operator, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to industrial biotechnology development and biomanufacturing projects. You will play a pivotal role in executing bioprocess deployment and operations, specifically within the rapidly growing industries of Synthetic Biology and Cell-Cultured Products. These industries aim to make the production of food, cosmetic ingredients, and other key products more sustainable. You will work alongside scientists, engineers, other operators, and managers, as part of a team dedicated to delivering tangible value to stakeholders and contributing to the 21st-century industrial revolution.
Responsibilities
Follow Biomanufacturing Standard Operating Procedures: Run and help improve bioprocesses on the plant floor under the guidance of engineers and managers.
Learn New Biotech Operations Skillsets: Cultivate, develop, and grow skillsets for the Synthetic Biology and Cell-Cultured Products transformational industries.
Contribute to Sustainability Goals: Be involved in expanding carbon-neutral corporate goals, including maintaining sustainable energy and water reclamation projects.

Good understanding of hygiene in an industrial biotech and/or food & beverage environment.

Fermentation or cell culturing experience in a winery, brewery, dairy, food manufacturing, or any industry using production microbes like yeast, fungi, or bacteria.
Attentive to detail, observant, and ability to focus on assigned tasks.
Hardworking and responsible.
College degree is welcome but not required.

Work Environment
The work environment is indoor, cleanroom, and climate-controlled with flexible shift times: 1st shift from 3:30pm to 12:30am and 3rd shift from 12am to 10am.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
