As a Product Manager in the Approvals Product Space, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a strong and consistent employee experience for executing and streamlining approval tasks across web, mobile, and digital assistant channels. Your responsibilities will include supporting the firm's approval tool, which specializes in routing requests for over 125 applications, servicing more than 250,000 unique users, and providing reference data for approximately 86,000 permissions. The Approvals application manages around 5 million requests annually. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success by applying your experience in achieving customer-focused outcomes and your strong delivery track record.
Job responsibilities
Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
Define the strategic direction for the Approvals application, ensuring alignment with the firm's broader employee experience strategy and technology roadmap
Cultivate strong relationships with key leaders and stakeholders across the organization to ensure the Approvals application meets diverse needs and is effectively maintained
Gather business requirements from end users and translate them into actionable product features that enhance the employee experience across web, mobile, and digital assistant channels
Partner closely with design teams and software engineers to manage the entire life cycle of the Approvals application, integrating with over 125 applications to serve more than 250,000 unique users
Drive product innovation, positioning, and experience to continuously enhance the Approvals product, focusing on delivering customer-focused outcomes. Align the Approvals tool with Firm standards enabling a universal and consistent user experience
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with partners for new features and enhancements, ensuring a strong and consistent employee experience
Monitor application performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, leveraging user research and metrics analysis to optimize product development
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
Proven experience in product life cycle activities, including discovery and requirements definition
Demonstrated ability to manage product development through alpha, beta, and general availability release phases
Developing proficiency in data analytics and data literacy
Experience in performing functional validation of product features in both testing and production environments
In-depth knowledge and documentation of customer and user experience journeys
Ability to research and evaluate new and emerging technologies and use cases within the industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Ability to successfully partner cross-functionally across teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
A technical background, including understanding of APIs, REST services, and JSON methodology
Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Databricks, Tableau, Business Objects, SQL, and other data analysis tools
Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) workflow management
ability to independently solve problems, manage projects, and deliver initiatives effectively
