Part-Time Cash Applications Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

Position Details

Job Type: Part-Time, Contract-to-Hire

Work Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (In-Office)

Location: West Side of Indianapolis

Responsibilities

As a Cash Applications Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming payments.

Key responsibilities include:

Posting payments and applying cash receipts to customer accounts.

Reconciling accounts to ensure discrepancies are minimized.

Investigating and resolving payment application issues in collaboration with internal teams.

Generating regular reports and maintaining detailed records of account receivable transactions.

Communicating with customers and stakeholders to address inquiries related to payment applications.

Requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or a related financial/accounting role.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy in data entry and analysis.
