Your Career
This is an onsite role based at our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
Palo Alto Networks is looking for a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst supporting our Global Customer Services (GCS) team reporting to the Senior Manager of GCS Finance. This role will be instrumental in driving expense and headcount management, forecasting, financial modeling, monthly and quarterly close, and strategic planning . You'll collaborate closely with business leaders to deliver data-driven insights and enable operational excellence across our rapidly growing services organization.
Success in this role requires strong analytical and communication skills, financial acumen, and a passion for optimizing spend while supporting business growth.
Your Impact

Improve business performance by providing insightful reports, dashboards, analyses, and models. Drive accountability for business results utilizing operational and financial metrics
Actively manage and provide in-depth analysis of expenses and headcount, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization to support strategic decision-making.
Ongoing focus on efficiency gains with models to optimize global resource allocation to meet customer and growth requirements
Continuously explore enhancements and automation across our portfolio of reports, analytics and dashboards to ensure accuracy and increase efficiency
Drive key projects and engage in AI related initiatives to improve business and financial results. Analyze and report the drivers and outcomes.
Work closely with the Sr. Finance manager to support Tech Services functional executives to scale with company growth and ensure achievement of business and financial objectives
Partner with cross-functional teams (Tech Services leadership, Corporate Finance, Accounting, IT, and Operations) to ensure alignment on goals and accurate financial tracking
Your Experience
5+ years of experience in FP&A and finance business partnering, preferably within the high-tech industry working with large datasets, consolidating, analyzing and creating data-driven models
Deep understanding of financial fundamentals including Profit and Loss (P&L) management, headcount planning, ROI analysis and accounting principles
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data requirements and interpret complex financial data and metrics
Strong business acumen and ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Passion for solving complex business problems using a variety of analytics tools
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a highly-matrixed international organizational structure
Experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP, SAC), BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI), and G-suite applications.
Preferred
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred
Prior experience supporting Customer Services functions (e.g., Technical Support, Professional Services, or Customer Success)
The Team
The Global Customer Services (GCS) Finance team partners with Palo Alto Networks' GCS business unit (Technical Support, Professional Services, and Customer Success) to enable success by driving efficient growth and maximizing profitability. We manage the end-to-end financials and reporting deliverables, annual and long-term planning processes, and multi-period forecasting cycles, using analytics and tools to achieve business and financial objectives.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $97,000 - $156,000YR.
