Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Marlboro, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger management, account reconciliation, and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.

Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records.

Monitor and analyze the cost of goods sold (COGS) to support business decisions.

Manage inventory accounting processes, including tracking and valuation.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.

Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for audits.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

Expertise in managing general ledger operations and journal entries.

Proficiency in performing account and bank reconciliations.

Strong understanding of cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory accounting.

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
