The United Way of Beaver County is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Administrative Team as an Accounting and Finance Manager. Reports to: Executive Director

Overview: The Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and reporting on all accounting and finance functions for our United Way. These tasks include but are not limited to managing the general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, all related reporting functions, and Workplace Giving Campaign and Annual Campaign administration. This position will work closely with other staff in the office to ensure that accounting reports are in line with donation reports from our donor database. This position will assist with all fundraising events. This position will also be the primary contact for our IT and office equipment vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities to include:

This individual will be responsible to accurately maintain and ensure the accountability and accuracy of the revenue, expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, donor designation distributions, and agencies receiving funding from the United Way.

A vital responsibility of this position is to manage the current pledge processing system, including campaign data entry, all the while maximizing the capabilities of QuickBooks Online.

Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and financial statements.

Oversight of bank account balances and preparation of weekly deposits.

Oversight of investment worksheets including monitoring of maturity dates.

Involvement in preparation of annual budget.

Coordination of annual audit, ensuring that auditor has all information needed for completion.

Manage and submit required reports for United Way Worldwide.

Generate Workplace Giving Campaign summary reports.

Work with other United Ways to confirm payment reports.

Monitor and provide appropriate follow-up to minimize uncollectable pledges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred), business or related field; a minimum of an associate degree.

A minimum of three years or more accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in nonprofit administration required.

Mandatory proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of the efficient use of a donor management database, or willingness and ability to learn.

Excellent organizational, financial, analytical, communications, and computer skills.

Attention to detail and a willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Must be able to be bonded; Act 33/34 Clearances will be needed.

Must be able to adhere to a background check including a credit report.

Must have a valid state driver's license along with reliable transportation and the ability to travel for business using personal vehicle. Proof of vehicle insurance & current registration is required upon hiring.
