We are seeking a dedicated Manager of Employee Relations and Benefits to join our team and be a part of our life-changing mission. This is a full-time position based out of the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva. The hours for this position are Monday- Friday 8:00AM- 4:00PM. The salary range for this position is $70,000- $92,000 based on qualifications and experience.

You will make a difference at Marklund in the following ways:

Manage employee relations based on Human Resources policies, programs and practices.

Handle employee issues, accommodations, disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.

Ensure Marklund job descriptions are legally compliant.

Review policies and practices to maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations while recommending best practices.

Update Marklund employee handbook.

Oversee the organization-wide orientation process.

Partner with Payroll and Finance department in any HR related processes.

Manage benefits programs and represent HR in the retirement plan audit.

Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources and Employment Law.

Manage the HR Generalists, HR Coordinator and Front Desk Administrative Assistant.

Spearhead performance reviews and other HR projects as needed.

Required Experience:

Human Resources Manager Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree desired

PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Minimum of 4 years of experience desired

In-depth knowledge of and ability to apply employment law, regulations and best practices required

Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Proficiency with HRIS systems, or ability to quickly learn

An ideal candidate will also have an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and a strong commitment to managing our HR policies and programs along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and the desire to contribute to a strong culture where the entire team works together to support our mission.
