Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Description

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating schedules, resources, and documentation for active construction projects. This role involves assisting in the preparation of bid packages, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. The coordinator will monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards, while supporting field operations with logistics, procurement, and reporting. Additionally, the coordinator will facilitate communication between project stakeholders, ensuring timely updates.

Responsibilities

Coordinate schedules, resources, and documentation for active construction projects.

Assist in preparing bid packages, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Monitor project timelines and budgets, flagging delays or discrepancies.

Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Support field operations with logistics, procurement, and reporting.

Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and ensure timely updates.

Essential Skills

Project coordination and construction experience.

Data entry and project management skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Excel for construction paperwork including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

3-5 years of experience, preferably within Heavy Civil/DOT.

Administration and document control expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Open to entry level. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management if no previous work experience.

Experience working directly for the DOT is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

This position requires working on-site in the office five days a week. The benefit is the flexibility to work in either Sussex County or Bergen County, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.86/hr.
