Organization and Position Overview

Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.

Position Brand Description:

The Administrative Assistant - Lilly Medicine Foundry is responsible for providing administrative support for the M3/P5 Foundry Leadteam members.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Facilitate communications within and outside the department(s), including the preparation of presentations and meeting minutes.

Handle customer inquiries and requests.

Maintain daily calendars of leaders including schedule ad hoc and /or recurring meetings which may include interacting with individuals from other organizations.

Update and maintain the area's shared information including publishing of monthly metrics and reports.

Process accounts payable invoices.

Sort and distribute mail within the area.

Coordinate office moves for employees.

Operate and maintain a variety of office equipment.

Perform general administrative tasks, such as faxing documents and photocopying.

Order and maintain an inventory of office supplies.

Support travel arrangements.

Act as a liaison for computer and software requests and issues.

Serve as backup for other administrative personnel.

Participate in administrative projects specific to the areas of support

Basic Requirements:

High school diploma.

Minimum of five years as an administrative assistant or similar administrative roles.

Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role

Additional Skills and Preferences:

Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, across all levels and functions.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and requests.

Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot issues.

Strong attention to detail.

Initial location at Lilly Technology Center, Indianapolis.

Permanent location at the new Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$17.30 - $39.06

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
