Description

Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in records, and supporting overall financial operations. This position is based in Branchburg, New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial data integrity.

Prepare and post journal entries while adhering to accounting principles and company policies.

Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Monitor and analyze financial data to support reporting and decision-making processes.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Assist in preparing financial statements and other essential reports for management.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and create financial models.

Address and resolve any issues related to accounts or transactions promptly.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices, including journal entries.

Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create formulas and analyze data.

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support financial accuracy.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
