Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Oceanside, California. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a strong understanding of QuickBooks, data entry, and invoice processing to support the smooth operation of our accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

Process and enter a high volume of invoices accurately into the system, ensuring timely payment and proper filing.

Manage accounts payable by reviewing, approving, and organizing invoices by job, and maintaining detailed records.

Support accounts receivable functions by preparing and reconciling invoices for various projects to ensure accurate billing.

Utilize QuickBooks for data entry, record-keeping, and generating financial reports.

Verify and reconcile financial data in Excel, ensuring all calculations and figures align.

Prepare and distribute weekly reports for job-specific invoices, tracking approvals and denials.

Handle paperwork and filing to maintain an organized and efficient accounting system.

Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and completion of all accounting tasks. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and working knowledge of data entry techniques.

Strong skills in Excel, including the ability to reconcile financial data.

Attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of invoices efficiently.

Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate and accessible financial records.

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Prior experience with invoice processing and financial reporting is preferred.
