About the Role

Uber Eats is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and highly collaborative Senior Operations Manager to own and optimize the Search experience within our fast-growing Grocery & Retail vertical across the US & Canada.

In this high-impact role, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing the discoverability, relevance, and shoppability of products for millions of consumers. You will lead key search strategies, working cross-functionally with product, marketing, data science, operations, and commercial teams to align business priorities with a seamless and intuitive shopping experience.

What You'll Do

Lead and Execute Search Strategies: Drive initiatives that improve search relevance, product discovery, and conversion across Grocery & Retail categories

Deliver Customer-Centric Enhancements: Deeply understand consumer search behavior to anticipate needs and deliver best-in-class experiences

Optimize Through Data: Use data and performance metrics to generate insights and continuously improve search strategies. Own reporting and share actionable recommendations

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, data science, engineering, and category teams to influence content strategy and prioritize impactful product enhancements

Drive Operational Excellence: Establish scalable workflows and processes to support timely and effective execution of search initiatives

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in strategic operations, business intelligence, strategy, or a similar analytical function

3+ years working with large datasets to influence business outcomes

Strong proficiency in data tools (Google Sheets, dashboards); SQL familiarity is a plus

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

SQL or Python or similar data querying experience

2+ years of experience in merchandising, e-commerce, or consumer tech

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet tight deadlines

Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed organizations

A customer-obsessed mindset and a bias toward action

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year. For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other @types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
