The Applications Analyst serves as the primary technology resource for clinical, financial, and/or third-party information systems within a business unit and/or division. This role is integral in the planning, design, and operational support of business solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, decision-making, and quality outcomes across Billings Clinic and its regional partners. The Applications Analyst is responsible for system configuration, data analysis, and operational support to meet organizational needs. Additionally, this position provides technical expertise as a consultant to end-users and is accountable for delivering ongoing training and education within assigned support areas.
Essential Job Functions
Maintains compliance with all organizational, departmental, and regulatory standards, ensuring knowledge of safety, confidentiality, and job performance requirements.
Provides consistent, reliable support for assigned systems, addressing and troubleshooting user issues to maintain system functionality and performance.
Participates in the implementation, upgrade, and update processes for systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions for end-users.
Acts as a liaison between end-users, technical teams, and vendors, communicating system requirements and addressing concerns to improve user satisfaction.
Collects feedback from stakeholders and end-users to inform and support system enhancements and ensure user-centered solutions.
Analyzes system performance and configurations, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with technical teams to enhance functionality.
Develops and delivers user training sessions, adapting content for various learning needs and ensuring users can effectively utilize system features.
Creates and maintains comprehensive user documentation and guides, supporting continuous learning and system familiarity for end-users.
Engages in professional development by staying current on industry trends, pursuing relevant certifications, and expanding expertise in information management.
Coordinates with cross-functional teams on projects, contributing to planning timelines, goals, and deliverables to achieve project objectives.
Monitors system performance proactively, identifying potential issues early and coordinating resolutions to maintain system reliability.
Assists in quality control and testing processes, verifying system updates meet organizational standards and align with user needs.
Documents system configurations, processes, and operational standards to ensure efficiency and continuity of support.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (2+ years in IT support or healthcare technology).
Experience
-Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, ideally with systems support or similar role.
Certifications and Licenses
-Basic certifications related to information technology, preferred
-Coding certifications, preferred
-Current Montana driver's license with the ability to be insured to operate Billings Clinic vehicles, as needed.
