We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Project Superintendent to lead the daily on-site construction operations for a large-scale federal renovation project valued at over $30 million. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of verifiable experience supervising complex government construction projects of comparable or larger size and scope. This role requires deep expertise in federal construction processes, jobsite logistics, phasing coordination, quality and safety enforcement, and strong leadership skills to manage both subcontractors and internal crews in a high-stakes environment with mission-critical constraints.

Responsibilities

Provide full-time on-site supervision for all phases of construction, ensuring work progresses according to the approved schedule, drawings, and specifications.

Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, SSHO, and QCM to maintain alignment with safety, quality, and performance standards.

Manage daily subcontractor activities, site access, and ensure all trades perform in compliance with USACE/NAVFAC contract requirements, EM 385-1-1, and OSHA standards.

Develop and lead daily site meetings and weekly coordination meetings with field personnel, subcontractors, and federal agency representatives.

Maintain accurate daily reports, field documentation, and photos; proactively identify and mitigate schedule impacts or field conflicts.

Monitor and enforce compliance with approved submittals, RFIs, changes, and quality control procedures.

Oversee site logistics planning, laydown, deliveries, and access around secure and occupied facilities.

Ensure proper execution of temporary protection, utility interruptions, shutdowns, and restoration work in collaboration with base personnel and stakeholders.

Participate in three-phase quality control inspections and enforce jobsite safety at all times.

Collaborate in project closeout, punch list management, and turnover documentation.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 10 years serving as a Superintendent on federal construction projects with individual contract values exceeding $30 million.

In-depth understanding of USACE and NAVFAC construction standards, including EM 385-1-1 safety requirements, quality control systems, and federal site safety protocols.

Proven track record managing complex renovations, phased construction, and operations within occupied federal or military facilities.

Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated success in managing diverse teams of subcontractors and vendors.

Advanced skills in project scheduling using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

High proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical specifications, and contract documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with hangar construction, secure military facilities, aviation infrastructure, or other high-complexity vertical construction projects.

OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

Current First Aid/CPR Certification.

Familiarity with RMS/QCS reporting systems and federal documentation protocols.

Eligibility for access to military installations.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring presence throughout the duration of the project. The schedule is 4x10s, from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Flexibility to work early mornings, extended hours, and occasional nights or weekends is needed to meet project milestones or accommodate federal facility access restrictions. Candidates must be physically capable of navigating and inspecting all areas of the construction site, including walking, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions. Dress code is professional as required by federal standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

The following is the general compensation package for management positions.- Start date: - Compensation: - 401K & Profit-Sharing Plans Offered upon eligibility - No Match on 401K- Profit Sharing Piece is purely at the discretion of the owner as to what % (if any) is contributed to the employees each year - Company Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance - Potential for/ Not offered to all- Company Gas Card - Potential for/ Not offered to all- Lodging - For out-of-town work - Company Computer - Reports to: President, Vice President, Project Executive, Project Manager- Health insurance eligibility: 50% of the employees' monthly premium will be paid by LBI and any dependents are paid 100% by the employee. Available 60 days after the first day of employment. - Vacation and Sick Time: Vacation - you will accrue the equivalent of two weeks during each year of employment. The Employee Handbook governs the Vacation Time Cap. To be available for use after 1 full year of employment.Sick - you will accrue the equivalent of 7 days during each year of employment.
