Job Title: Electronics Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team. This role involves assembling electronic components and systems using drawings, schematics, and various tools, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, work orders, and wiring diagrams to determine assembly duties and material requirements.
Select components such as transistors, resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits for assembly.
Assemble electronic/mechanical products, systems, or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using hand tools and soldering equipment.
Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
Perform assembly operations under a microscope or other magnifying devices as needed.
Position and align parts in specified relationships to each other in jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices and prepare soldering surfaces.
Use a variety of equipment including power supplies, multimeters, leak detection/vacuum systems, pressure generators, volt meters, ohmmeters, ovens, and microscopes.
Measure parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
Connect component lead wires to printed circuits and route and connect wires between components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches to assemblies.
Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
Perform intermediate assembly tasks like potting, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, and etching parts and assemblies.
Conduct go/no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet quality, performance, and production specifications.
Create documentation for process improvement.
Collaborate with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities and resolve production problems.
Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements are met.
Produce parts/products efficiently with minimal waste and rework.
Essential Skills
1 or more years of electronic PCB assembly experience.
1 or more years of soldering or wire harnessing experience.
1 or more years of J Standard electronic assembly experience using a microscope.
Proficient in electronic assembly, soldering, and small parts assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1 to 2 years of soldering experience (surface mount, through-hole, etc.).
1 to 2 years of microscopic assembly experience.
Experience with quality standards and ESD-safe procedures.
Proficiency in using soldering iron and small quantities of assembly supplies and chemicals.
Experience in assembling SMT (surface mount) and through-hole electronic components.
Strong communication skills and ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment
Work in a close-knit team of about five co-workers in a clean, climate-controlled environment. Engage in soldering and wiring tasks using a microscope and handle fine wires. The work environment includes departments like Warehouse, Assembly, Engineering, Production, and Fabrication, with managers reporting to Human Resources.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sunbury, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $23.00/hr.
