Job Summary and Qualifications
Working knowledge of repair and maintenance procedures for equipment found in a hospital setting.
Meets all required deadlines related to preventative maintenance and work order service request.
Knowledge of security procedures, systems, which support facility operations.
Performs routine reparative task on a continuous basis, rounding of the physical plant equipment, security rounding, repairs and maintenance activities on all equipment and systems.
Performs routine maintenance task in the physical plant such as replacing air conditioning filters, light bulbs, clogged drains, environmental issues related to ice and snow, assembling furniture, equipment and general electrical repairs and other maintenance and security request.
Working knowledge of electrical safety inspection for bio-medical equipment for emergency situations, all other items are maintained by bio-med services department.
Boiler Room, steam and heating systems general knowledge and maintenance functions.
Chiller, Cooling Towers and Mechanical cooling knowledge, inspections and general repairs.
Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Working knowledge of the Building Automation and Energy Management System (Metasys at this time).
Participates on hospital committees as needed.

What qualifications you will need:
Strong mechanical knowledge and application.
Mechanical or Trade School certificate preferred. Applicable related mechanical experience accepted. Strong communication skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications and general computer use.
A minimum of 2 years of healthcare (preferred), or 10 years of experience in a related field mechanical field.
