DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will leverage your comprehensive knowledge and expertise in purchasing and procurement to respond to inquiries from agency staff throughout the state, which will come via phone calls, emails, and Remedy tickets. These inquiries will cover a wide range of topics related to procurement, purchasing, and inventory management, and it will be your duty to provide effective solutions and guidance to the staff members seeking assistance.
Moreover, you will take on the responsibility of developing and implementing quality assurance assessments on a statewide scale. These assessments are designed to aid organizations in improving their purchasing, procurement, purchasing card, and inventory management programs. By conducting these evaluations, you will play a crucial role in identifying opportunities for enhancement and reducing risks within the agency.
To further support the PennDOT Inventory Management and Purchasing Cards program areas, you will actively engage in their quality assurance review initiatives. This will require collaboration with relevant teams to ensure that these program areas function efficiently and effectively.
Additionally, you will be instrumental in the creation, support, participation, and evaluation of statewide training programs focused on the Department's inventory management, procurement, purchasing, and purchasing card activities. By working closely with supervisors from the Bureau of Office Services Section, subject matter experts from the Commonwealth, and various customers, you will help develop comprehensive training initiatives that align with the department's overarching goals and objectives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
The selected candidate can work out of the department headquarters in Harrisburg (Keystone Building) or nearest PennDOT Engineering District Office, if space is available.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a Management Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Two years of experience in technical management analysis work, and a bachelor's degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license.
