Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Sacramento, California. This is a Contract position where you will play a key role in managing and maintaining financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has strong expertise in handling accounting functions and systems.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate coding and timely payment.

Utilize accounting software systems and ERP platforms to manage financial data.

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Monitor and process ACH payments, ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Collaborate with the auditing team to support internal and external audits.

Maintain accurate records of transactions and prepare accrual accounting reports.

Review and validate financial documents for completeness and accuracy.

Assist in implementing automated processes to enhance efficiency in accounts payable.

Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and resolve issues.

Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations in all transactions. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or similar accounting roles.

Proficiency with accounting software systems, including QuickBooks.

Knowledge of ERP systems and their application in financial management.

Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and practices.

Familiarity with ACH payment processing and related procedures.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data.

Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
