Job Summary and Qualifications
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Maintain multiple general ledgers.
Prepare monthly journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations as required to accurately close the monthly fiscal period.
Prepare detailed monthly trend variance reports to support practice management in the review of monthly operating performance.
Review and analyze monthly reports for key indicators and statistics.
Assist practice management, financial analyst, and other operations personnel as needed with financial information requests and questions.
Prepare monthly reconciliations for all Balance sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances.
Maintain balance sheet standards per department guidelines.
Prepare and submit annual personal property tax and Sales & Use tax returns, as required.
Submit annual escheat property tax filings. Maintain ongoing documentation.
Prepare annual Corporate Tax work papers and reconciliations. Maintain ongoing documentation.
Review Physician Maintenance records for new providers and edits for existing providers.
Review provider compensation calculations monthly.
Review and, if necessary, prepare provider compensation calculations in accordance with policy.
Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
Maintain strictest confidentiality to ensure that privileged and / or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure.
Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement".
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - This position requires the following minimum requirements:
Knowledge of accounting theory, principles and practices sufficient to identify and describe accounting systems and sub-systems
Knowledge of the financial accounting process
Knowledge of accounting information systems
Proficiency with PC-based spreadsheet and word processing programs
Effective organizational skills
Ability to prepare simple analysis for financial reports
Ability to prepare simple statistical accounting reports
Ability to perform mathematical computations accurately
Ability to develop effective and professional communication , both verbal and written
Ability to work well with others
Ability to organize work.
EDUCATION - Pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Accounting, and/or Finance from an accredited college/university.
EXPERIENCE - Prior experience in a professional office environment preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS -Requires sitting for long periods of time. Working in a general office environment. Some bending and stretching required. Manual dexterity required for use of calculator and computer keyboard. Requires working to meet deadlines; occasional evening and weekend work. High volume, fast paced environment may be stressful. Requires use of common business equipment, including personal computer, telephone and facsimile machine.
