Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to join our team in various departments. The ideal candidate must demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to grow in a dynamic work environment. You will be tasked with assembling hatches and panels using hand and power tools, working off blueprints, preparing panels for painting, packaging completed assemblies, and cross-training in various departments.

Responsibilities

Assemble hatches and panels using hand and power tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, torques, and tape measures.

Work off blueprints to ensure precise assembly.

Prepare panels for painting by installing insulation and hanging panels on hooks.

Package completed assemblies and fill orders efficiently.

Cross-train in various departments to support operations when necessary.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Experience in mechanical assembly.

Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

Mechanical aptitude and inclination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 5:00am to 2:30pm, and Friday from 5:00am to 9:00am. Mandatory overtime may extend Friday hours to 2:30pm. The environment is a metal manufacturing setting similar to an auto body shop, requiring steel-toed boots, pants, and short-sleeve shirts or longer. This is a non-union shop.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
