Position Summary :
The Manufacturing Site Leader is responsible for the creation, implementation, and management of the new Branch Specialty Devices Operation. This effort includes, but is not limited to, identifying all needs required to establish an efficient, high-quality, world-class manufacturing site. This position requires intimate knowledge and application of modern operational, quality assurance, materials management, people leadership, and lean/continuous improvement principles to accomplish a successful and profitable business model. This individual leads the entire site, working along with upper management to ensure business plans are being met.
Essential Functions :
Demonstrates positive leadership qualities through employee engagement and open communication
Establishes a tiered manufacturing operating system to ensure the site production meets the required deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints
Carries out the execution and creation of best-in-class lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiency, cost reduction processes and standard work initiatives
Develops and measures key performance indicators at both team and individual levels to gauge and enhance operational effectiveness
Leads people with a model of servant leadership and employee development
Drives accountability for results
Provides visible leadership in continuous improvement initiatives
Effectively monitors both sustaining and launch project timelines to meet deadlines
Drives quality improvement initiatives throughout the organization to close CAPAs, minimize and eliminate waste, scrap, rejects, and non-conformances.
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate contracts to reduce costs
Promotes safety as a value in the organization by leading safety improvement initiatives and enforcing all safety policies and procedures
Supports the Company's compliance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation by identifying, assessing and reporting/resolving problems concerning the environment
Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management in an honest, professional and respectful manner, while demonstrating effective listening skills
Lead strategic planning of workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for continued growth
Provides strategic guidance (design for manufacturing feedback) when working with product development staff concerning product design to ensure efficient production methods.
Coordinates with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
Provide information for senior management decisions such as estimates of production times, output, staffing, and costs
Collaboratively partners with and supports other functions to help Globus achieve its organizational goals
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree with a technical focus required
Post-Secondary degree in Engineering or Business preferred
15+ years' experience within a regulated industry
15+ years' experience in manufacturing and mechanical assembly processes
Deep understanding of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing and management systems
10+ years' experience in servant leadership roles with a proven track record of investing in and developing people
10+ years' experience that has included collaboratively leading and implementing change and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment
Background in Sustainability and/or Environmental, Health, and Safety
Demonstrated high level of performance in current and previous positions
Demonstrated initiative and desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations; self-starter
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions within production bottlenecks
Statistical knowledge and the ability to apply fact-based decision making to product and process improvement projects
Solid understanding of Manufacturing Principles including Process, Information and Material Flow
Well organized, detail oriented and team player with demonstrated Project Management skills capable of meeting deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
