Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on food processing equipment. Responsibilities include both mechanical and electrical repairs, breaking down machinery for cleaning, and machine startup. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.

Break down machinery for cleaning and ensure proper startup.

Utilize maintenance experience to perform repairs and preventive maintenance in the plant.

Conduct electrical troubleshooting on 24-480V systems and diagnose issues.

Maintain and repair mechanical systems including pneumatics, power transmission, and conveyors.

Use basic PLC knowledge for troubleshooting.

Work 10-12 hour days, 7 days a week, with potential for reduced hours as more technicians are hired.

Essential Skills

Minimum 2 years experience in food manufacturing maintenance or 7+ years in manufacturing machine maintenance.

Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, especially with control voltage and 3-phase systems up to 480V.

Experience with mechanical systems such as pneumatics, pulleys, chains, sprockets, and motors.

Basic PLC knowledge.

Ability to work long hours and maintain good tenure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant maintenance field is a plus.

Experience in food manufacturing and GMP is highly desirable.

Welding and fabricating skills are beneficial.

Work Environment

The position is located in a food manufacturing plant with a refrigerated environment. Adherence to GMPs is required daily. Various shifts are available, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with flexibility in hours and potential for training. The workweek currently spans 5-6 days, with a possibility for reduction as more staff is hired. Tools are provided, and employees have the option to bring their own basic tools.

This is a Permanent position based out of NA, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $64400.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in San Antonio,TX.
