Warehouse Associate

Are you a proactive and reliable individual ready to make an impact in the transportation industry? We're looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team! You'll play an important role in ensuring freight moves efficiently and on time, all while working alongside a supportive management team.

Shift Details

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Pay Rate: $18 per hour

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

As a Warehouse Associate, you'll be at the heart of our operations, handling a variety of essential tasks:

Shipping & Receiving: Assisting with all shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders for processing.

Order Fulfillment: Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.

Safety & Organization: Ensuring the warehouse is accessible and safe for both employees and customer traffic, and completing all work while adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Inventory & Assembly: Assembling products and participating in inventory counts as needed.

Driver Communication: Taking check calls from drivers, verifying loads will deliver on time, and validating all load data for accounting purposes.

Delivery Monitoring: Monitoring daily pick-ups and deliveries to confirm loads arrive on time and in good condition.

What You'll Need to Excel

We're looking for someone eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment:

Communication: Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Availability: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, due to varying freight volumes.

Experience (Plus): Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry, experience loading and unloading trailers, and experience using handheld scanners are a plus.

Critical Thinking: The ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions whether written, verbal, or in diagram form.

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds and load and unload trucks .

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
