As our Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers to build and maintain software applications and services to meet client and business needs. Each day, you will build and lead your team of cross functional engineers working together to execute our product and technical roadmap and mentor the team to grow their careers and develop the next generation of leaders at R1.
Responsibilities:
Lead the technical development and delivery ofnew technologies and techniques to improve our overall platform performance and ultimate customer experience.
Mentor and grow team leadership
Provide technical leadership in evaluation, conceptualization, design, and development of significant new capabilities.
Provide strong technical expertise in application architecture.
Oversee the quality of the code and products throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Drive for continuous improvement in performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, and platform availability.
Leverage agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.
Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering leadership to create and maintain a digital roadmap.
Coach, develop, and encourage engineering managers and staff career development.
Coordinates and delivers performance reviews.

Required Qualifications:
6+ years of experience delivering web-based applications and services.
2+ years of experience leading and managing one or more engineering teams.
Capability to develop technology professionals with high expectations, a collaborative style, and a focus on continuous improvement, quality, and planning.
Strong skills in team leadership and building positive customer relationships.
Proven ability to develop and implement hiring plans and manage contractor relationships.
Strong communication skills, with proven ability to present complex ideas and document concisely.?
Understanding of modern software development methodologies, including version control, unit testing, and continuous deployment.
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.?
Capable of acting as a technical subject matter expert: helping fellow engineers, demonstrating technical expertise, and engaging in solving problems.
Knowledgeable of modern application and database architectures and design.?
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Cloud providers and services such as Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure
Experience with microservices architectures and containerization using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Service Fabric.?
Strong understanding of cloud architecture.?
Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, EDI X12.?
Knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle, EMRs, and practice management systems.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $97,211.43 - $161,880.71 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
