Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveConstruction Accountantto manage and oversee the daily financial activities and operational scheduling of our construction company. This role combines critical finance functions such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger management with key operational tasks including vendor coordination, bill pay, contract management, and project forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction operations and financial best practices.

Location:Lebanon, IL\ Salary:up to \$85,000/yr, BOE

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Recordkeeping

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company.

Process and reconcile all accounts payable and accounts receivable

transactions.

Prepare, process, and reconcile payroll for employees and

contractors.

Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate journal entries and

financial statements.

Track company expenses and report financial status to owner.

Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close procedures.

Support year-end audit processes and tax filings.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Generate and issue invoices for clients/customers and ensure proper

documentation.

Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist leadership with budget

planning.

Analyze trends and costs to support decision-making on future

projects.

Provide financial projections and resource planning for ongoing and

upcoming construction jobs.

Construction Scheduling & Contract Support

Manage construction contracts, including tracking terms, milestones,

and payments.

Review vendor agreements and construction contracts to ensure

accuracy and compliance.

Assist with construction project scheduling, adjusting timelines

based on job progress and resource availability.

Coordinate with project managers and field staff to ensure smooth

job site operations.
