Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson Services Inc. is recruiting for a MedTech Supply Chain Digital Director, Project Management. This position will be located in Raritan, NJ.
The leader will be a part of the MedTech Supply Chain Digital organization and will be responsible for leading project management activities for transformational MedTech Supply Chain projects within the MTSC Digital portfolio. This leader will operate strategically, leading and advising the progression of project delivery, and working with stakeholders across the global organization to meet project objectives.
The successful candidate must be able to engage with project and operations teams at an execution level and with senior leadership at a strategic level. The leader will, for the full program, oversee and lead execution of project management playbooks and principles, strategically advise on the creation and management of the project plan, and define success for initiatives. They will roll up delivery status reports and updates for the presentation of MTSC Digital leaders, who they will interface regularly. They will also identify, manage, and address delivery risks on a global scale. This role will report into the Project and Portfolio Management Leader.
This position is an 17-month duration role, major responsibilities include:
Project Planning and Leadership: Lead the transformation project management team in defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and expected timeline along with leadership across the project (e.g., testing and validation teams, functional and technical teams, etc.). Use a MTSC Digital -centric established project management playbook for a consistent project management approach across multiple projects. Connect project managers and teams to Communications and Strategic Engagement stakeholders as needed so that Communications and Strategic Engagement teams are informed of upcoming changes. Oversee the communication of project details across the project including project status, critical milestones, and messages from project leadership.
Project Delivery Management: Lead regular project status reporting including assessing status for accurate escalation of risks and issues. Engage project managers to prepare updates for further leadership presentation and review as necessary. Build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage project delivery and deploy corrective actions to mitigate risks when requirements are not met. Manage, predict, and mitigate risks to project milestones when possible, and meet with tactical project managers to review project progression for potential risks. Engage with others in MedTech Supply Chain to support MTSC Digital in the process of resolving risks. Establish a set of status reporting responsibilities for project managers to deploy to workstream leads across the project. Enable project managers to deploy MTSC Digital standard reporting procedures to lead project delivery reporting and governance across project workstreams. Review project reporting and escalated risks across the team as they come up. Work across the project team, across MTSC Digital, and if needed, across MedTech more broadly to address and mitigate risks that impact project objectives.
Project Management Processes: Along with the Project and Portfolio Management leader, create and enable processes and tools for project managers to scope, develop, and manage project plans, schedules, and deliverables. Set governance to support project managers in adhering to project timelines. Lead the oversight of financial health throughout project lifecycles.
Resource Management: Lead the resource management strategy across the project using inputs from project managers and workstream leads to identify resource needs. Define the resource on-boarding approach and oversee onboarding of new resources. Coordinate with project leadership to understand resource needs and find opportunities to shift resources across the project according to workstream needs. Drive holistic project resource changes based on updates and resource availability.
Project Value Realization: Collaborate with Vendor and Value Management to set value realization metrics for the project. Strategically review and oversee the tracking of metrics throughout the duration of the project. Include these metrics as part of project delivery reporting to leadership. Continuously look for opportunities to define or assess project value across project teams.

Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of bachelor's degree required .
Experience and Skills:
Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Experience in leadership roles within Project Management, Supply Chain, Commercial, or large transformation programs required.
A minimum of 5 years of complex global Project or Program Management leadership experience preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with people management/direct report experience is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
An understanding of supply chain processes, data, ERP, and ecosystem, including technology and stakeholders involved throughout is preferred.
Strong experience in developing and managing project plans and taking corrective actions to mitigate risk.
Innovative mindset with the ability to translate business needs into supply chain / technology solutions.
Strong knowledge of MedTech Devices, Supply Chain or Commercial Operations is preferred.
Demonstrated hands-on project management experience required.
Certification in areas of expertise, like project management (e.g., PMP, CSM), is preferred.
Strong customer focus (internal & external) and experience managing professionals from multiple disciplines is preferred.
Demonstrated experience and ability to collaborate effectively in managing large-scale projects in a matrix format.
Experience with business support software applications such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, and Access) is required.
Ability to work flexibly, work in ambiguous situations, and handle multiple tasks is required.
Ability to zoom-in/zoom-out for strategic and tactical activities is required.
Proven ability to collaborate across franchises, business sectors, and disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross functional teams, without authority, to drive outcomes.
Strategic leadership in project management and experience building new/enhancing existing capabilities.
This position will require up to 25% travel.
