Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Denver, Colorado. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the organization by managing key accounting processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills in accounting and a proven ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform month-end close activities, including preparing financial statements and ensuring all necessary adjustments are completed.

Manage the general ledger by maintaining accurate account balances and reviewing entries for accuracy.

Prepare and post journal entries with a focus on precision and compliance with accounting standards.

Conduct account reconciliations to ensure financial discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.

Handle bank reconciliations to maintain accuracy in cash flow records and reporting.

Support data migration processes, ensuring the seamless transition of financial information between systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage purchase orders and related financial documentation.

Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting workflows and implement best practices.

Assist with audits by providing required documentation and addressing inquiries from auditors. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation.

Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and accounting principles.

Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with attention to detail.

Ability to perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively.

Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and cash flow management.

Familiarity with data migration processes and financial systems.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
