The Manager, Engineering Change Control will report to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering and will be responsible for Change Control and New Product Introductions. This Manager will guide and execute process improvements and documentation related to the design and qualification of new consumable products and materials to meet market and cost requirements, NPI processes, Change Control, and process documentation. This position will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and lead the team members to successfully execute job functions.
Responsibilities
Direct the development and implementation of activities in the Consumables Engineering group to meet all goals, quality, and cost objectives.
Create an engaging and innovative work environment that fosters close collaboration among team members, career growth and excellence in achieving operational results.
Execute new product Introduction activities including product and tooling design, product costing and ROI calculations.
Manage the development, qualification and validation process for new products and existing product changes.
Support the product and tooling documentation control process for consumable manufacturing.
Conduct product, risk assessments to support the CI process.
Create and sustain standard work (WI), process development and improvement activities to support manufacturing operations.
Evaluate process capability through analysis of data. Determine the lowest cost solutions to improve Quality and product capabilities.
Accountable for packaging and graphic design activities.
Research, validate, and execute the cost savings project pipeline to reduce product COGS and production scrap. Manage and administration of multiple cost improvement projects.
Lead and mentor teams in the utilization of standard problem solving and Lean tools.
Lead team in development of test equipment & processes.
Identify opportunities for quality defects to occur in manufacturing processes and suggest mitigations.
Represent manufacturing engineering on cross-functional teams to assess supplier capabilities and develop packaging and graphics solutions for components and systems.
Contribute to design transfer activities such as process validations. Participate in post-product launch stabilization teams.
Reviews change orders and engineering releases for accuracy and completeness.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless product transitions and compliance.
Track and report KPIs such as change implementation cycle time, cost savings from CI projects, and NPI launch success rate.
Utilize SAP for BOM and routing management, Agile PLM for change control, and Tableau for performance dashboards.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of management experience
5+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications
6-Sigma Black Belt
Lean QMS experience
Supply chain experience
SAP, Agile, Access, Excel & Tableau experience
Flexographic printing background
