Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position is assigned to the administrative staff of the Environmental Health & Engineering Division and is responsible for providing administrative support work for the Water, Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems (OSTDS) and Facilities programs. This position works under the supervision of the Environmental Administrator.
Utilizing word processing and computer-based data applications, produces letters, memos, forms, and emails; files correspondence and reports in electronic database and manual files; records all correspondence notes in electronic database; receives and distributes mail and reports; and maintains division supplies.
Performs general receptionist duties providing information to clients in person and by telephone utilizing automated and manual files; greets and directs clients to appropriate staff; takes messages and directs phone calls to staff; and performs related duties.
Assists in receiving, posting and preparing reports for all cash, check and credit card transactions.
Assists with annual billing of all facilities and issuance of operating permits.
Performs other related duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to use computers and computer programs.
Ability to plan and organize work assignments.
Ability to work with customers with multiple communication methods.
Knowledge of standard office filing workflow procedures.
