Litigation Administrative Assistant

Description We are looking for a skilled Litigation Administrative Assistant to join our legal team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will support attorneys and legal staff with administrative tasks, document preparation, and court-related procedures. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential for ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.

Manage court filings, ensuring compliance with deadlines and local rules.

Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, and case-related appointments.

Maintain and organize case files, both electronically and physically.

Assist with billing tasks, including tracking billable hours and generating invoices.

Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.

Conduct basic research and gather information relevant to ongoing cases.

Handle administrative office duties such as ordering supplies and managing mail.

Support litigation teams during trial preparation and proceedings, as needed. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in litigation support or legal administrative assistance.

Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court filing systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with billing practices in a legal environment is preferred.
