Our client is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and optimize financial operations within their organization. Based in Torrington, Connecticut, this role is ideal for a meticulous individual with a strong background in accounting practices and leadership capabilities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with auditing standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage and execute month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring entries are precise and compliant with regulations.

Conduct and support financial statement audits, collaborating with external auditors as needed.

Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain financial accuracy and transparency.

Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.

Develop and implement annual standard cost procedures to facilitate budgeting and forecasting.

Analyze and report on financial data to support strategic decision-making.

Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and teamwork.

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in month-end closing processes and general ledger management.

Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and compliance requirements.

Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.

Familiarity with annual standard cost procedures.

Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.

Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
