MISSION / SUMMARY:

To support the Finance Manager and Controller in driving accurate and timely financial reporting, business analytics support, and continuous improvement initiatives for the Paperboard Manufacturing facility in Waco, TX.

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Perform various month-end duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reporting.

Responsible for certain inventory controls, analysis, and reporting.

Develop a working knowledge of the facility's purchasing and expenditure processes and procedures within SAP to maintain proper controls, manage costs, and support operating departments.

Support facility requirements for fixed asset accounting, including the physical inventory of fixed assets.

Act as financial liaison to assigned cost center managers and assist them with their budgets and explanations for monthly variances to budget.

Perform assigned functions for annual budget and forecasting processes.

Assist in facility and SOX audits.

Provide backup support to other team members as required, including some cost accounting activity.

Perform other related duties as required.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

3 or more years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

MBA or CPA, preferred.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Excellent analytical skills.

Dynamic, flexible team player with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.

Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook

ERP (preferably SAP), SQL, and Power BI experience preferred.

Initiative / Self-Motivated.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.

Month End schedule requires 8-10+ hours the first 4 workdays of each month.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.

Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.

Physical Inventories occur on operating floors, and exposure to outdoor heat.

Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.

Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.

Pay Range: $58,875.00 -$78,500.00
