Join a fast-paced Accounting Department committed to delivering accurate, timely financial reporting across a portfolio of commercial and subsidized housing properties under the company group umbrella.
What You'll Do:
As our Senior Accountant , you'll manage day-to-day accounting operations, support junior staff, and ensure compliance across affordable and market-rate housing entities. From reconciling accounts to assisting with audits and analyzing intercompany fees, you'll be a key player in strengthening financial controls and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support, train, and guide junior accounting staff
Manage and post A/R transactions and tenant payments in Yardi
Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and monthly financials
Work directly with property managers and tenants to resolve billing issues and ensure timely collections
Ensure compliance with internal controls and industry regulations
Process and analyze intercompany management fees
Assist with internal and external audits
Handle subsidy accounts and ensure accurate payment processing
Complete other duties as assigned by leadership
You Bring:
4+ years' experience in A/R, A/P, or bookkeeping within an Accounting Department
Real estate or housing industry experience is required (affordable and market-rate preferred)
Experience with Yardi Voyager highly preferred
Experience with HUB is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate or higher)
Excellent attention to detail and strong math skills
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively
