Summary
The person in this position is primarily responsible for core treasury activities, including day-to-day cash management, and leading Treasury process automation efforts within the Treasury function for Compass Minerals International. In addition, they will have functional experience in insurance-related activities.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Treasury
Takes active role in developing and implementing cash management policies and procedures including analyzing daily receipts and disbursement activity and the management of outbound wires.
Assists Treasurer in gathering information and evaluating the need for procurement of funds including analyzing financial records to forecast future cash requirements.
Assists in developing strategies including debt refinancing, acquisition financings, negotiating agreements, new debt issuance, tender offer, swap planning and aggressive management of interest expense.
Manage the Credit Facility for daily liquidity management including the daily banking interface for borrowings, repayments, rate locks and overnight investment decisions.
Process borrowing and pay down requests for the company's Accounts Receivable (AR) Securitization program including model tracking and distribution of securitization reports.
Support and help maintain relationships with partner banks, internal/external legal counsel and rating agencies.
Support the settlement process for all Natural Gas Derivatives.
Lead the company's treasury automation efforts, including:
Identify treasury process improvements and evaluate the rollout of Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and integrations with ERP and banking platforms.
Design and automate treasury reports, dashboards, and cash flow modeling.
Document process improvements and collaborate with internal IT or external vendors on treasury technology projects.
Compliance
Responsible for managing corporate bank accounts and ensuring the protection and custody of funds, securities and other financial instruments.
Responsible for all administration and compliance for the Credit Agreement, Sr Notes, and AR Securitization Programs.
Maintain the AR Securitization Model tracking receivables. Prepare and distribute securitization reports.
Manage letters of credit, evaluate credit exposure, monitor fees, and process renewals.
Assist with audit requests, regulatory filings, and compliance documentation related to treasury operations.
Ensure treasury procedures are documented and updated regularly.
Support SOX compliance and internal control documentation related to treasury functions.
Insurance
Administer process for providing Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and other documentation for customers as part of bid processes.
Support corporate insurance audits, broker coordination, and internal inquiries related to risk coverage and vendor insurance.
Assist with the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of insurance policies and programs tailored to organizational needs.
Develop, monitor and manage budgets for insurance programs, ensuring efficient allocation and use of financial resources.
Work closely with internal teams (finance, legal, compliance, operations) and external partners (brokers, underwriters, regulatory bodies).
Prepare financial risk reports for senior management, track program performance, and make data-driven recommendations.
Assist in the oversight of claims processes and efficient handling of insurance-related issues.
Finance Team Interaction
Assists with monthly accounting close for treasury related activities.
Interface with Tax and Accounting departments for cross-border cash and debt transactional analysis and implementation including the management of intercompany loans.
Process accounting schedules and interest payments for all corporate debt instruments, including Sr Notes, AR Securitization, Revolver, Term Loans, and Letters of Credit; including providing support and explanations to auditors.
Execute Foreign Exchange (FX) trades for liquidity purposes.
Work with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Legal, Tax, AP, AR and Controlling to model out leverage, interest expense, covenants, and debt pay down/issuance timing.
Participate in special assignments and projects as required.
Minimum Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
5 years' experience in Treasury.
Knowledge of ERP systems (JD Edwards), financial planning (OneStream or Oracle eBPBCS), Microsoft BI and related technologies.
Experience in large datasets and the ability to utilize data from various BI systems.
Finance management experience including knowledge of lean/Six Sigma management concepts and/or certifications.
Experience in mining/manufacturing/production environment.
Preferred Requirements:
MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA
