ASRC Federal Systems Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a part time Senior Systems Engineer to support our nation's premier Propulsion Test Complex, at the Air Force Research Laboratory, on Edwards Air Base, CA. This role will support a new Project that will proceed from designing the layout, then building the test site to then testing a new generation propulsion system. This will be an exciting opportunity to assist and shape the future.
Key Role :
Perform regular reviews of the system design requirements, ensuring the team is capturing and delivering requirements.
Ensure change management is captured and customer informed.
Change management and revisions are recorded in the Project SharePoint site.
Work closely with project managers and government teams to manage the design and integration of complex systems.
Utilize simulation and analysis tools to evaluate system behavior and performance.
Define, document and manage project interfaces, configuration, requirements, and verification methods.
Participate in the development of test plans and facility procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and successful delivery.
Assist with project management activities including project planning, progress tracking and reporting.
Apply specialized knowledge of propulsion systems and test infrastructure.
Ensure that Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies are being properly developed maintained.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in propulsion testing
BA/BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or other relevant discipline required; an advanced degree may be substituted for three years of required experience.
Proficient in evaluating material compliance with @types of propellant.
Experience with compatibility of propellant and piping.
Must be a US Citizen to meet government contract requirements.
Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
