Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Lakewood, Washington. This is a long-term contract position that requires expertise in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will excel in both independent and collaborative environments, contributing to the success of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Prepare and maintain detailed general ledger accounts to ensure financial integrity.

Create and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting practices.

Conduct timely bank reconciliations to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies.

Generate financial reports and provide analysis to support organizational decision-making.

Assist with audits by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries.

Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize financial stability.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial processes.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.

Identify opportunities to improve financial procedures and implement solutions. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Proficiency in creating and posting journal entries with attention to detail.

Strong skills in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Understanding of financial reporting and analysis techniques.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and standards.
