Job Title: Accounts Receivable SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage and deliver customer billing documents promptly and accurately. This role requires ensuring alignment with contractual agreements and sales documentation, tracking incoming payments, and verifying their correct recording and processing on time.

Responsibilities

Deliver customer billing documents promptly and accurately, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements and sales documentation.

Track incoming payments and verify that they are correctly recorded and processed on time.

Reach out to clients through phone, email, or written correspondence to follow up on overdue balances and encourage timely payment.

Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments in a courteous and efficient manner.

Coordinate with sales and internal teams to address client concerns and facilitate quick resolution of any account-related issues.

Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of customer communications and financial transactions within the accounting platform.

Send out regular account summaries to clients to keep them informed of their current balances.

Produce reports on receivables, including aging summaries, collection performance, and potential write-offs.

Partner with the credit team to evaluate the financial reliability of clients and determine suitable credit terms.

Support financial close processes at month-end and year-end by preparing necessary reconciliations and management reports.

Essential Skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.

Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payment discrepancies or issues.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of accounts receivable processes.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with SAP is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.

Work Environment

This position is based in an office setting, working within a small team of two people. The standard hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The company is stable, with a history spanning 50 years and offers significant growth opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
