Accounting Clerk

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our team as an Invoicing & Billing Coordinator. This role involves supporting our billing operations to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the preparation and processing of invoices and accounts receivable, ensuring all billing is accurate, timely, and aligned with project data.

Collect and organize data from various sources to support daily and weekly invoicing, verifying that all billable items are properly documented and submitted.

Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external clients to provide billing updates, resolve discrepancies, and ensure smooth financial transactions.

Maintain accurate records in systems related to work orders, production progress, employee time tracking, and billing, ensuring data integrity for financial reporting and invoicing accuracy.

Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the local office, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and site-specific requirements.

Work closely with managers and administrators to bridge communication between project teams and clients, particularly regarding billing and financial documentation.

Essential Skills

Experience in invoicing, accounts receivable, and project administration.

Proficiency in Excel (intermediate level) and accounting software.

1-3 years of experience in an accounting position.

High School diploma.

Qualifications

Experience with Smartsheet's is beneficial.

Experience in project accounting is a plus.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to retain new information.

Work Environment

This position is based in the office from Monday to Friday, with a flexible start time. It offers the opportunity to join a leading construction company that is expanding in the Midwest.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.25 - $27.50/hr.
