Robert Half is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join the Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) team, a dynamic program designed to provide long-term career opportunities in accounting and finance. As part of the FTEP team, you will work on a variety of challenging projects with our clients across diverse industries. This is an excellent opportunity for accountants eager to gain experience, deepen their skills, and grow professionally under the mentorship of seasoned professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting Tasks: Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly close activities.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.

Account Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.

Support Audit Preparation: Collaborate with management to ensure all documentation complies with internal and external audits and regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement: Identify and suggest ways to improve processes for accounting operations efficiency.

Collaboration: Work closely with senior accountants and other team members to solve complex problems and meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Requirements:

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger tasks

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP is a plus.

Knowledge Base: Solid understanding of GAAP principles and accounting best practices (Source: Robert Half Job Search Guide).

Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies and proactively suggest solutions for process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a variety of industries is a strong advantage.
