Job Description
In this vital role, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance with the Oetiker Group (OEGR) Management Manual, as well as TS16949 and ISO14001 standards, while supporting our plant's ambitious objectives.
Quality System:
Quality System Management: Maintain, develop and monitor the effectiveness of our Quality System to ensure it meets organizational and regulatory requirements.
Standards Management: Serve as the Management Representative for ISO 14001 and TS 16949 Standards, guiding the organization in achieving compliance
Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Support for Process Owners: Collaborate with process owners and other teams to ensure adherence to ISO 14000 and TS 16949 standards.
Budget Management: Prepare and submit the annual departmental budget to Oetiker Management, in line with guidelines from the Finance Department.
Goal Development: Develop, implement, and monitor goals and objectives for the quality department to drive continuous improvement.
Performance Reporting: Create, monitor, and report performance measures to both staff and the Management Team, fostering transparency and accountability
Health & Safety: Lead H&S initiatives with a "Safety-First Mindset"
Personnel and Leadership:
Leadership: Responsible for providing leadership to all staff in the Quality Department, such that the work environment provides the tools the staff requires in order to achieve excellence, and the staff know they are respected, valued and encouraged in their career development through the use of Developmental Reviews (DR)
Performance Review/Evaluation: Monitor employee performance against Company Policy and implement measures as necessary
Advancement/Innovation: Encourage innovation and continuous improvement by staff, lead by example and drive results though a Continuous Improvement mentality and a Zero-Defect Mentality.
Qualifications
To be successful in the Quality Manager role, we prefer candidates with the following qualifications:
Experience: Five (5) years+ of supervisory experience in quality management within the automotive manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing industries.
ISO 14000 and TS 16949 Lead Auditor Certification: Certification as a Lead Auditor for ISO 14000 and TS 16949 standards.
Educational Background: Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in a related field.
Customer/Vendor Liaison Experience: Proven experience in liaising with customers and vendors, preferably in the automotive sector.
8D Problem Solving Skills: Ability to effectively utilize the 8D problem-solving methodology to address quality issues.
