Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials to meet customer demand and support our operational requirements. You will work closely with internal and external suppliers, as well as sales and logistics teams, to ensure seamless and efficient procurement processes while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
As a Buyer, your primary responsibilities will include:
Purchase Order Management: Prepare and issue purchase orders based on approved requisitions, and track orders to ensure timely delivery, including daily order confirmations.
Inventory and PO Analysis: Conduct daily inventory and purchase order exception analysis and resolve any issues promptly.
Supplier Communication: Engage with suppliers to resolve order discrepancies or delays, including performing invoice audits.
Expediting and Logistics Support: Assist sales and logistics teams with transit time evaluations and expedite orders as necessary.
New Part Setup: Set up and configure new parts and materials in the IFS system.
Quotation Requests: Request quotations from suppliers as needed to support procurement activities.
Inventory Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to meet customer demands.
HTS Coding and Coordination: Handle HTS coding of import shipment invoices and coordinate with customs brokers.
Supplier Performance Assessment: Evaluate supplier performance and implement strategies for improvement.
Supply Chain Optimization: Implement supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot challenges and recommend process improvements.
Internal Collaboration: Work with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and timelines.
Production and Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers to meet production and delivery schedules.
Reporting and KPI Support: Assist the Supply Chain Manager in creating department-related reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Additional Activities: Perform other supply chain activities as required.
Requirements
Requirements
Possess working knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, logistics concepts and similar business procedures with a focus on customer service
Experience with international trade is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational and follow-through skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Detail-oriented, positive attitude and willing to learn new skills
Intermediate level of computer skills in Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years buyer/purchasing experience or degree in business or related field
High School Diploma or equivalent
