Job Title: Full-Stack Software Engineer (Next.js | UI-Focused)
Status: Temp-to-perm (three month temporary engagement with the
intent to become permanent at the end of that time period).
About Mixta Re Genesis
Mixta Re Genesis is a 4th-generation immersive learning authoring
platform that pairs adaptive AI with immersive experiences to slash
course-creation time and boost learning outcomes. Were a fast-moving,
mission-driven small team in Phase 1 R&D funded by the National Science
Foundaiton, laying the groundwork for our commercial release later this
year.

What Youll Do
\
Elevate the front-end experience Refine and extend our Next.js +
React component library, improve information architecture, and deliver
polished, accessible UI that delights learning-content authors.
Build Backend Data Architecture - Build FastAPI python endpoints,
utilize Langchain and Langsmith tracing for abstracted LLM requests,
design and optimize SQLModel, Pydantic, and PostgreSQL schema
relationships, and ensure smooth data flow between frontend authoring
tools, skills engine, analytics, and a REST API.
Collaborate & ship Work shoulder-to-shoulder with product,
narrative, and learning-science leads to build features, run code
reviews, automate tests, and deploy via Vercel / Heroku.
Must-Have Skills
3 + years building production apps with Next.js (or modern React
meta-framework), TypeScript, and Tailwind/SCSS.
Strong UI/UX instincts: can translate Figma frames into performant,
responsive components.
Solid back-end chops in Python, REST/GraphQL, and relational DB
design (PostgreSQL preferred).
Familiarity with modern DevOps (CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Docker,
Kubernetes).
Proven ability to take a feature from ticket PR deployed.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with adaptive learning, XR/WebXR, or game-engine
workflows.
Experience fine-tuning LLM models and/or developing RAG assistance
for LLM requests
Prisma, or Chroma DB usage.
Interest in data-driven learning analytics and AI-generated content
pipelines.
